Dibrugarh University conducts Common Entrance Exam for admission in various undergraduate engineering courses and medical programs. Before applying for the exam candidates are required to go through all the points required for them to give the exams. Only eligible candidates will be entertained.

Registration for the exam will likely to start in April 2023

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Candidate must be Indian citizen as well as permanent residence of Assam.
• Candidate must have passed XII or qualifying examination with 50% aggregate for GE and OBC and 45% aggregate for SC, ST in combined English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
• General Candidate must be in between 17 to 21 yrs as on 01-08-2018.
• SC, ST candidates are relaxed in upper age limit by 3 years.

APPLICATION FORM

All the eligible candidates are required to fill the form online from the official website. There will be 3 options and candidates have to choose their desired course to which they want to apply for:

• Course 1 – For Medical Courses Only (MBBS/BDS)
• Course 2 – For Engineering Courses Only
• Course 3 – For Both Engineering and Medical Courses.

After filling the form, the candidates are required to attain the print out of the registration form from the website.

FEE

The fee for the entrance exam is:

• For MBBS/BDS – Rs. 900
• For Engineering – Rs. 900
• For Both Medical and Engineering – Rs. 1100

The fee is only taken by the SBI chalan that can be downloaded from the website and no other option is there to submit fee like in cash, cheque or draft. Candidates please take this very seriously.

After submitting the fee through chalan candidate is required to send the application form and chalan receipt to the university address followed with Course Option, Centre of Exam, Application Number and SBI Chalan’s Number written on the envelope. Candidates must retain a copy of both application form and chalan receipt for further reference.

SEATS RESERVATION

• OBC (including MOBC) – 15%
• ST (Plains) – 10%
• SC – 7%
• ST (Hills) – 5%
• Physically Challenged – 3%
• Tea Garden Labour Community (TGLC) – 1 seat/college
• Ex Tea Garden Labour Community (Ex TGLC) – 1 seat/college
• Ex Serviceman – 1 seat/college

All the candidates falling in these categories are required to show the relevant documents at the time of counselling.

Counselling schedule and details will be available on the website of university after the declaration of result.
